New Interim Principal Named at Sandusky High School

Sandusky, Ohio. An Interim Principal has been named at Sandusky High School for the 2015-2016 school year. Late this summer, Dr. Ted Caleris, accepted a position as Assistant Superintendent for the Cuyahoga Heights School District near Cleveland. As a result, the Sandusky Board of Education reviewed internal options for our unanticipated vacancy and at the board meeting held on Monday, August 10, at 7:30 p.m., David Danhoff, the current Chief of Staff and Transformation Officer was named Interim Principal of Sandusky High School. Mr. Danhoff will assume the Interim Principal role effective Thursday, August 13, 2015.

The Sandusky City Schools will review options for naming an Interim Chief of Staff or Assistant Superintendent for the 2015-2016 school year over the next 30 days.

The Sandusky City Schools is entering year two of the Transformation Plan and is focused on not losing any ground in the pursuit of improving student performance and meeting and exceeding the needs of our students, parents, and community. The Sandusky City Schools will host a district wide open house on Tuesday, August 25, and the first day of school will be on Wednesday, August 26. Please refer to the district’s website for all information associated with the start of the new school year.
