JCI Senate Scholarship - $1,000 (Deadline: January 5th)
Each year, the U.S. Junior Chamber International (JCI) Senate Foundation grants $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools. The number of grants awarded annually is at the discretion of the Foundation and must be used for educational expenses in the first year of full-time study. Checks awarded will be made out in the name of the recipient and the educational institution of the recipient’s choice.

From September to November of each year, each JCI Senate state organization (or foundation) distributes to schools and boards of education throughout their state the necessary application forms for determination of the recipients of scholarship grants. The deadline for return of the completed application forms to the state chairperson is January 5, 2018. If your state is not listed, you are not eligible. Do not submit the application to any address on the web page except those under the State Scholarship listing section (packages submitted to the wrong address will not be forwarded). Additional information is included in the Application instructions.

Parentinn - Cyberbulling Prevention for Teens Scholarship (Deadline: February 28th, 2018)
All participants will have to research and submit a 600 – 1000 words regarding the following topic:
“Why and How to Stop Cyberbullying”.

In the content, make sure to include the following ideas:
Why is it important to stop cyberbullying?
How has cyberbullying personally affected teens?
The best submission will be selected and rewarded, $1250 will be given to Undergraduate or Postgraduate Students – $1250 will be given to High School Students, which can be used in course materials or other resources. Selection Criteria
Student, who is U.S. citizen/ currently attending or planning to attend an U.S. college or university for undergraduate or graduate studies/ high school, college or graduate student or a student planning to enter college, is eligible to participate in our scholarship program.

The work you are going to submit has to be 100% unique and creative regarding the above topic. Selection is based on the written essay and focused on creativity, content and a commitment to the cause of preventing cyberbullying.

BCSN's "Scholar of the Month" Scholarship (Deadline: Monthly Until May 2018)
The BCSN Scholarship provides annual scholarships to graduating high school seniors currently attending a school in the Buckeye Broadband Sandusky service area (eligible schools listed on page 4 of the Application). Applicants should be entering an accredited school of higher education in the United States in the fall of 2018. The Scholar of the Year scholarship recipient may re-apply for three additional years of undergraduate study and will be considered for possible renewal if he/she maintains a 3.0 cumulative GPA and full-time status. Scholarships can be used toward tuition, room, and board (on campus), books and fees. Applicants must be U.S. citizens.

Seven Scholars of the Month will be chosen throughout the academic year, November 2017 through May 2018. Students will be recommended by Guidance Counselors from high schools located in the Buckeye Broadband Sandusky service area. From those recommendations, one student will be chosen by the 22
nd of each month by a committee comprised of Erie County Community Foundation representatives. Stop by the Guidance Office or check out the links below for more information.
