Our Campus

Our Campus

We service K-12 students and offer a curriculum aligned with Ohio Learning Standards, as well as credit flexibility, dropout prevention, and credit recovery for high school students. While SDLC is an online school, we understand that students need to develop relationships and have opportunities to interact with their teachers. Students can schedule an in-person tutoring session with any of their teachers between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm, or join one of our scheduled Google Classroom tutoring sessions facilitated by our licensed teachers. While these sessions are optional, research has shown that students who participate in tutoring sessions reach their academic goals at a faster rate than students who work independently.

Our digital curriculum is provided through Virtual Learning Academy (VLA) for grades K-2, and Odysseyware for grades 3-12. The curriculum is aligned with Ohio's K-12 standards. All assignments are completed online with no experiments or projects. Students can choose to have the computer read the lesson to them and for ESL students, there is a translation option. The curriculum is a continuous progress model and students can work at their own pace.

However, there are minimum course completion requirements. Please refer to the Student Handbook for more details.
