You will observe some changes this year. We will be talking more about the accomplishments at Sandusky City Schools. This information will be communicated to you, our students, our teachers and staff and to our community. We will be introducing an electronic message service that you can register for on the school website (www.scs-k12.net) after September 15. The electronic document will provide a short message outlining important and timely information and will include student accomplishments.

There are many advantages for students to attend Sandusky City Schools.

·        SHS is one of only 16 comprehensive schools in the state

·        We have a very strong adult education program

·        Our technology is second to none

·        There is no “pay to play” at our schools

·        We have the only orchestra in Erie County and it is excellent

These are just a few of the many factors that make SCS #1 in the area. 

Beginning this year, our school newsletters will have a new and consistent image. We will be letting the general public know the high regard in which many SHS graduates hold their education from Sandusky City Schools. We will be working diligently to get more of our positive information in front of local media.

It is important that we emphasize two-way communication between the schools and parents. There is no need to wait for public and/or board meetings to answer your questions. We will also be introducing a new Question and Answer column in newsletters so that we can enhance understanding. Watch for more information about this on the website. And don’t forget, feel free to contact my office at any time, by phone or email so we can get your question answered quickly.
