article object Venice Heights Elementary Attention Venice Heights Elementary Families
Please read this important letter from the City of Sandusky regarding drop-off and pick-up for Venice Heights Elementary Students:

The City of Sandusky has contracted with Ropper Construction for the Venice Heights Blvd Reconstruction project, which is now underway. This project entails the complete reconstruction of the roadway, curbs, and sidewalks on Venice Heights Blvd in-front of the school.

During construction, we ask that all vehicular traffic use extreme caution, follow detour signs and allow additional time for travel, as an alternate route of traffic will be put into place. Please note the changes below:

Pick-Up and Drop-Off
All vehicular traffic will have to enter Venice Heights Blvd from Bardshar Road and use the parking lot between the Soccer Field and the School building for drop-off and pick-up.

Busses
Access to Venice Heights Blvd from Thorpe Drive will be maintained for busses only. Busses will use the first parking lot to drop-off and pick-up students. Vehicular traffic is prohibited in this area to allow for a safe walking environment for the students.

As traffic patterns change throughout the construction project, we will notify families using the One Call System through the Sandusky City Schools.

If you have any questions or comments pertaining to the project, please contact the Department of Public Works at (419) 627-5829.
